Reservoir Data Acquisition Services

Slickline services are widely used by oil and natural gas exploration and production companies during the completion, workover, and production phases of a well. These services support a wide range of operations and play a critical role throughout the entire life cycle of a well.

A slickline unit typically consists of a truck-mounted winch system that houses the operating controls and a drum spooled with solid steel wireline. This wireline is used to convey mechanical tools and electronic memory gauges into the wellbore safely and efficiently.

Slickline operations enable accurate downhole data acquisition for lithology interpretation, reservoir evaluation, and well performance analysis. Key measurements include pressure and temperature gradients, pressure buildup data, inflow behavior, and modified isochronal testing. In addition, slickline services are used for various well intervention and mechanical operations, including flow control and fishing activities.

    Applications of Slickline Services:
  • Running of downhole memory gauges and downhole tools
  • Tubing clearance operations
  • Tubing End Locator (TEL) services
  • Paraffin and wax cutting
  • Fishing operations for retrieval of stuck or lost equipment
  • Opening and closing of sliding sleeves
  • Running of sample bailers and sand bailers
    Key Benefits
  • Reliable and cost-effective well intervention
  • Accurate downhole data for reservoir and production analysis
  • Minimal well downtime during operations
  • Enhanced well integrity and flow control
  • Improved operational efficiency across the well lifecycle
